Team Zenith represents a leading student initiative dedicated to advancing robotics and space exploration. The team focuses on the design, development, and operation of Mars rovers for international competitions and research projects, creating a platform for students to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions. Alongside rover development, the team actively promotes interdisciplinary collaboration among engineering, science, and technology students, ensuring holistic and impactful outcomes. Beyond competitions, Team Zenith engages in research on advanced robotic systems, intending to establish itself as a robotics research hub within RUET. Through these initiatives, Team Zenith not only develops cutting-edge projects but also builds future-ready engineers and innovators who can represent Bangladesh on global platforms.

Future Plans
After URC 2026, the team plans to further refine and upgrade the rover based on performance evaluation and feedback. Continuous improvements will be made to enhance mobility, autonomy, manipulation, and system reliability.
Zenith Rover
Our flagship Mars Rover is designed to compete in the University Rover Challenge (URC) and similar competitions. It features advanced mobility systems, scientific instruments, and autonomous capabilities.
Mobility System
Four-wheel system with modified rocker suspension capable of traversing rough terrain and navigating uneven surfaces.
Robotic Arm
6-DOF manipulator arm with gripper for sample collection, equipment manipulation, and precision tasks.
Science Payload
Integrated soil analysis system to detect organic indicators such as proteins, carbohydrates, and ammonia.
Communication
Wireless communication system for real-time telemetry and video transmission.
Autonomous Navigation
ROS 2 based navigation with obstacle detection and avoidance capabilities using computer vision.
Zenith Drone
Our aerial reconnaissance platform designed for mapping, surveillance, and support operations during rover missions.
Our Sub-Teams
Each sub-team brings specialized expertise to create our innovative robotic systems
Business Team
Handles sponsorship acquisition, marketing, public relations, and team management. They build partnerships, manage social media presence, and ensure the team has the resources needed to succeed.
Electrical Team
Handles all electrical systems including power distribution, circuit design, sensor integration, and PCB development. They ensure reliable power delivery and signal processing for all robotic systems.
Mechanical Team
Focuses on the physical construction, chassis design, CAD modeling, 3D design, and mechanical systems of our robots. They handle material selection, manufacturing, prototyping, and assembly of all mechanical components using tools like SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
Control Team
Develops the software and control systems that bring our robots to life. From autonomous navigation to remote control interfaces, they handle all programming and control algorithms.
Science Team
Conducts research and develops scientific instruments for specialized tasks. They handle soil analysis, life detection systems, and scientific documentation.
Role of Faculty Advisors
Our Story
Team Zenith develops a variety of innovative projects, including advanced line-following robots, soccer bots, and automated railway line-changing systems. The team has actively participated in several prestigious competitions, showcasing these robots and earning acknowledgment for their technical expertise and creativity. Most notably, Team Zenith competed in the IRDC Mars Rover Competition 2024, where its rover design and performance received significant recognition. Through these initiatives, Team Zenith has not only strengthened its technical capabilities in robotics, automation, and system design but also fostered interdisciplinary collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Representing RUET's culture of innovation and excellence, the team continues to push the boundaries of engineering and technology, inspiring future generations and showcasing Bangladesh's talent on international platforms.
